ASTROLOGICAL INTERPRETATION
FOR SEPTEMBER 2010
By Joseph M. Guttmann
Mercury the traditional ruler of Virgo, turns retrograde on August 20 till September 12th . Working with this energy we may find a heightened inner awareness through meditation. Also we can benefit by journaling, reworking old plans and reviewing past work. The task of Virgo is to complete and bring closure to this internal and personal experience.
The new Moon in Virgo on September 8th suggests that we are in the beginning stages of relating more consciously to nature and using our power wisely. Also on that same date Venus enters Scorpio conjoined with Mars in the 11th house of the United States chart. This would imply a time to experience humanitarian goals at hand. Working with community on the deeper levels of transformation.
Mercury stations direct on the 12th of September. You could find yourself getting to the heart of discussions and communications, concerned now, with things that are more lasting and less superficial.
Pluto stations direct September 14 after its five month stay retrograde in the sign Capricorn. This energy is asking us to identify where we must take more responsibility and at the same time hold others accountable as well.
Pluto’s journey through Capricorn reveals where we must recognize the consequences of our actions and create non- hierarchical institutions based on integrity and sustainability for the benefit of all concerned.
Aries Full Moon September 23rd, the time to look is now at bringing peace, equality and authenticity into our lives. The highlight of this full moon in Aries adds to the ongoing Cardinal T-Square involving Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Pluto. By bringing in the Moon’s nodes which would be included in the Cardinal Grand Cross oppositions and squares are also apparent.
(Oppositions- Require social awareness)
(Squares-Demands shift in our perspectives and directions.)
Peace & Blessings

ASTROLOGICAL INTERPRETATION FOR JULY 2010
Our Summer begins with Sun in Cancer, the first of the water signs. Cancer says, “I feel”. Water provides lubrication, the ability to flow from experience to experience and from one condition to another. Cancer signifies the eternal parent, focusing on the security needs of the child. Cancer is the sign of protection and nurturing.
On the 5th of July Uranus stations retrograde in the sign Aries. Uranus in Aries, you could feel so unique and so much of an individual, that you may have a hard time intergrading that energy within any sort of social setting. You could fear the loss of your freedom, thus being uncomfortable with others. You could also be seen as so rebellious and challenging, that others feel uncomfortable with you. With Uranus in retrograde, your Lifestyle, Consciousness, and interest surpass most of your peers. Socialization for you can be frustrating. You may find yourself a reformist, years ahead of everyone else. When your peers finally do catch up, you will still be more progressive in thinking and understanding. If you have Uranus retrograde in your natal chart you are being asked to validate ones’ own sense of independence and uniqueness and in learning how to incorporate that into social situations.
July 23rd Jupiter stations retrograde, with this aspect there can be difficulty exerperiencing expansion in a clear way. The most fundamental way in which Jupiter promotes expansion is through learning. When it is retrograde, you may have difficulty validating what you know or in felling comfortable with your degree of knowledge and understanding. You could even doubt your own intelligence or assume that most other people are brighter or better educated than you are. One way out of this, is by utilizing archetypal symbols as ways of seeking expanded truths. Reading myths, understanding archetypes or studying the work of Carl Jung or Joseph Campbell can help you understand life through larger concepts. Jupiter also functions to bring abundance into your life. With Jupiter retrograde, there can be difficulity with creating abundance possibly due to a feeling that you don’t deserve to have all you need. This can be do to the fact that Jupiter retrograde tends to seek a higher understanding of life.
New Moon on the 11th in the sign Cancer. You can sense and understand the mood and feelings of others, and are excellent at counseling and nurturing. This is a good time take responsibility about your family needs and wants. Prioritize your financial situation. Making the necessary changes will benefit your future security.

For the next 2 years Saturn will be in the sign Libra, reminding us to obey the rules of this Planet. If we flow with the energy of Saturn we can expect to find harmony and balance in our social interaction and the arts. Libra is oriented toward one to one relationships in our personal life, and Justice and equality collectively.
